Barbara's 40th Birthday Party

Another great night and very enjoyable.  We arrived to play at the Quality Hotel in Reading to be greeted by Barbara, her husband and three wonderful children.

We played to an audience to help celebrate Barbara's birthday.  The crowd immediately started dancing and didn't stop all night.  Some fantastic assistance was given by two of the girls and they helped make the evening even more special.

Facepaint, fake blood, slipknot costumes, fancy dress competition (Dracula won, but I thought Gomez was really cool), guests on stage, very close-up live video - all in a nights work when The Generaters are around!! Great night at the Keys - fantastic halloween spirit. Must mention Ashlea for an excellent vocal performance on You've got the love, and her superb welcome and hospitality, and Al for leading a pretty much scratch version of Monster Mash! Thanks everyone for making it a scarily good night!!!

Goring Social Club

Arrived cold and wet - rubbish weather on the way up - but we soon warmed up as the first set got going.

As the "first half" progressed, the interest and involvement of the audience increased, and really started to take off before the break.

The Prince of Wales Caversham, Saturday 2nd October 2010

Arrived at venue 7 ish - gear into venue - set up - tune guitar - soundcheck - go through setlist - 40 minutes to kickoff - get a drink - chill for a little while - tune guitar again - looking forward to playing - good venue - should be a good night.

Great to see many familiar faces - our "supporters" are here yet again - thanks very much everyone.

The evening proved to be one of the most enjoyable we have done.

First set fine - good atmosphere - performance well received - the second set moved up a gear or two, and the place really started to rock and roll.

Lots of general getting on down and movin to the groovin (yes I do remember the 70s)!!! - Rog W and Harry in the engine room, Myself and Amy out front, Amy giving her usual brilliant vocal/frontperson performance - great atmosphere.

Special thanks to Richard on the cowbell, the hosts and regulars at the "Prince" for making us so welcome, and to family and friends.

We're doing it all again at the "Prince" on Sat 29 Jan - bring a friend (or 3) - let's see if we can move up another gear!!!
